Project 1000 Research Marathon
Project 1000 Research Marathon is a remote research project among the various projects that are under development, and is scheduled to start the second week of January (2024), and it is aimed at:
Uniting health professionals, and students in the field of health across Brazil through engaging in medical research.
Providing a platform for sharing, learning and sharpening of research and writing skills among health professionals.
Linking various university Researchers in the field of health. In this case not limited to Brazil but also international landscape, in line with the Brazilian governmental objectives fostering internationalization and global collaborations in research works and projects.
Health professionals, and students in the health field (e.g Medicine, Dentistry Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, Epidemiology and Medical and Basic Health Sciences) are encouraged to use this opportunity.
Medical students and those in health related fields outside Brazil can participate, as this will be a great opportunity for them to collaborate. However, it is worth noting that this is a dedicated program and may demand a minimum of 4hrs per day.
How to participate as a Researcher
In order to participate in Project 1000 Research Marathon, you fill in the form below, and you will be contacted through an email.
To participate as a researcher, you should at least have a Masters degree or sufficient research experience.
You can participate as a researcher whether you are based in Brazil or not. Researchers in the health field in Southern Africa are highly encouraged to participate.
There is no participation fee, this project is free. However, there is a possibility of a contribution towards publication fee if the research is submitted to journals that charge for publication. The decision will be guided by researchers regarding to which journals the article should be submitted.
How to participate as a student
In order to participate in Project 1000 Research Marathon, you fill in the form below, and you will be contacted through an email.
There will be presentations/trainings regarding: research and writing, narrative reviews, and systematic reviews, followed by practical writing or conducting of research under the guidance and in collaboration with experienced researchers.
To participate as a professor or researcher, you should at least have a Masters degree or sufficient research experience.
You can participate as a student whether you are based in Brazil or not. Students in the health field in Southern Africa, e.g from Namibia and Zambia are highly encouraged to participate.
There is no participation fee, this project is free. However, there is a possibility of a contribution towards publication fee if the research is submitted to journals that charge for publication. The decision will be guided by senior researchers regarding to which journals the article should be submitted.
